Bilingual VBS 2008

For VBS we combined forces with our Spanish-speaking congregation and had a great time learning about the Power of Prayer!

All the kids came together for a time of singing songs and introduction to the day's theme with Pastor Tomas.

The Big Kids heard a Bible lesson in English from Charlotte, and a Bible lesson in Spanish from Sandra.

They enjoyed crafts including a praying hands stained glass window collage.


The Little Kids heard Bible lessons and did crafts with Sandra and Cathy.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

Celebrating our Children!

For our Celebrate Kids Sunday, Jacob and Issac led our Praise time.



Charlotte, our CE Elder, introduced each child.




She interviewed them, asking about their schools, interests, and hobbies.




Even the little ones got a chance to share what was on their minds!

We also presented our newest little ones to the Lord.
Kaytlynn and Arabella were received with love as the congregation committed to give support and encouragement to both parents and children.

and pray that August is a blessed month for each one!

Bilingual Vacation Bible School

We had 16 children participate in Vacation Bible School this year!
It was a fun and busy two days covering four stories about how God is seeking after the lost and we can be his helpers. Be sure to check out the pictures below!

Youth Event July 6-7

We hosted an area Friends Church youth event the weekend after July 4th. We gathered at the church and set off on a digital picture scavenger hunt pitting the girls against the boys.**
Racing back to the church, we decided it was a tie. Then out to the country for a hot-dog roast, swimming, horse-back riding, game playing, staying-up-til-2:00am good time! (Pastor went home at 9:00pm and went to bed!) Early breakfast finished off the event and goodbyes were said by 8:30am.
What a fun time, we hope to do it again next year!
